ABOUT MY BLOG AND MY LOVE FOR FOOTBALL

Hello, My name is Cameron and I support Stenhousemuir Football Club in the Scottish League 2. You are probably wondering why the website is called "The Cam Behind The Cam", well I used to film the games for Stenhousemuir and my name is Cameron, so I thought I would use that for the name. 

Anyways, I will be using this blog to give my thoughts on Scottish Football, occasionally football from other countries. 

About my love for Football

When I was younger, I used to go to Falkirk matches with my Dad, as he was a massive fan of the Bairns. As I grew older, I saw the light and started attending Stenhousemuir matches. The first game I attended was a 2-1 win over East Fife, where Andy Rodgers scored an overhead kick, excellent way to entice the new younger fans to come back. 

After years of supporting the Warriors, an opportunity came up to get involved with the club. The cameraman at the time had left the club and the club were looking for someone to take over. As soon as I saw an article on the club's website, I immediately emailed in to apply for the position. Within a few days, I was confirmed to be filming the matches for the Warriors. 

Supporting a lower league team, like Stenhousemuir, hasn't always been easy, the bad days outweigh the good. When the good days do come, you savour them more. In the past year, Stenhousemuir have won promotion from League 2 to League 1, beaten local rivals Falkirk 4-2 and drew with Aberdeen 1-1. Not too bad for a small club. 

I'll update this bit over time, if I feel anything else needs to be added. Until then, I will be posting blogs more or less weekly, so take a read at them.
